Assistant Director For Leadership Annual Giving

The Opportunity:

The Assistant Director for Leadership Annual Giving will play a critical role in the effort to grow mid-level giving with a primary focus on alumni. This position is eligible for hybrid remote work with supervisory approval.

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Manages and retains a portfolio of at least 75 donors by cultivating relationships through consistent outreach and personal visits to build their affinity and grow their philanthropy to the university.

  • Cultivates, solicits, and stewards leadership level annual gifts.

  • Conducts face-to-face visits with leadership annual giving donors and prospects.

  • Identifies over 500 new prospects through strategic discovery processes to increase the number of alumni that contribute to the university at a leadership level.

  • Collaborates with assigned colleges to develop and execute on annual and long-term strategic goals that connect alumni and build their affinity to solicit philanthropic contributions.

  • Develops meaningful touch points for cultivation and stewardship through collaboration with Alumni Engagement by recruiting and enlisting volunteer leaders to assist in engagement activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience

The BS in Career and Technical Education program prepares you to become a career and workforce education and training leader. Youll utilize innovative measures to influence and serve in modern educational and organizational settings. Many students enrolled in this program are experienced subject matter experts from all industries and businesses. Because of this, all of your coursework is relevant and individualized to your specific field.

Become a CTE teacher for high schools, technical colleges, community colleges, state colleges or correctional facilities. Teachers work in formal educational settings in programs with degrees, diplomas or certificates. Another career path with this degree is a workforce trainer position. Workforce trainers work in business and industry in informal settings: workshops, conferences, online learning webinars that do not provide a degree or diploma. These are usually short sessions with only adults.

Workforce Training & Development TrackDesigned to cultivate a new generation of compelling career and workforce training leaders, this track gives you the tools to seamlessly transfer your industry knowledge to adult learners. In addition to the career and technical education core course requirements, youll also take two upper-division electives in workforce training and development fundamentals and workforce training and development instructional planning.

Health Sciences Campus At Lake Nona

The 50-acre UCF Health Sciences Campus at Lake Nona includes the UCF College of Medicine and the Burnett Biomedical Sciences Building. The Burnham Institute for Medical Research, a Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Nemours Children’s Hospital, M.D. Anderson Cancer Research Institute, turning the area into a medical city. The campus will also serve as the future home of the UCF College of Nursing and the newly approved UCF College of Dental Medicine. The College of Medicine welcomed its charter class in August 2009.

Upon completion of construction, the campus could accommodate as many as 5,000 upper division, professional, and graduate students and faculty members in the health-related programs, and include up to two million square feet of research and instruction space.

The University of Central Florida is a publicresearch university with its main campus located in unincorporatedOrange County, Florida. With 70,406 students as of the Fall 2021 semester, it currently has the second-largest student body of any public university in the United States.

UCF was founded in 1963 and opened in 1968 as Florida Technological University, with the mission of providing personnel to support the growing U.S. space program at the Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station on Florida’s Space Coast. As the school’s academic scope expanded beyond engineering and technology, Florida Tech was renamed the University of Central Florida in 1978. UCF’s space roots continue, as it leads the NASA Florida Space Grant Consortium. Initial enrollment was 1,948 students enrollment in 2022 exceeds 70,000 students from 157 countries, all 50 states and Washington, D.C.
