This is a full-time position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 9-5 or as defined by the school.

NEW MEXICO With close to 23,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases across New Mexico, the virus presents a public health risk. As many across the state are seeking alternatives to a return to in-person learning, Destinations Career Academy of New Mexico and Sacred Wind Communications are working together to make online learning more accessible to students and families statewide.

John Badal, CEO of Sacred Wind Communications discusses how they are closing the digital gap and expanding access to online learning. Sacred Wind is providing internet access to eligible students and families with demonstrated financial needs who plan to enroll at NMDCA.

NMDCA is available tuition-free for students who live anywhere in the state and is a personalized learning experience in a full-time online setting. The program is currently enrolling students in kindergarten through 12th grade.

Online Students From New Mexico To Be Celebrated With The In

GALLUP, N.M., May 25, 2022—-After two years of questions and distractions, the students from New Mexico Destinations Career Academy , a program of the Gallup-McKinley County Schools are ready for graduation day, highlighted by the fact that some of them will meet each other in-person for the very first time!

The various high school in-person ceremonies took place on May 19, 20 and 21, 2022. A virtual ceremony is set for May 27th.

“Our students have so many challenges, and I am grateful that this graduating class had the opportunity to push through them without having to change their day-to-day routine,” said Executive Director Gerald Horacek. “Weve all worked so hard these past few years and we look forward to seeing what they accomplish next.”

This year, the Gallup McKinley County Schools NMDCA program will graduate over 40 students collectively. The graduating class reports it has been accepted to colleges and universities across New Mexico and beyond including University of New Mexico, New Mexico State, Clovis Community College, and Eastern New Mexico University.

Prior to the pandemic, students enrolled in virtual school for a number of reasonssome were looking to escape bullying, some may have fallen academically off track, and others were looking for an alternative to the traditional classroom setting.

GALLUP, N.M.—-As COVID-related school closures continue into the fall and students, parents, and teachers nationwide look to the start of the new school year with uncertainty, Destinations Career Academy of New Mexico , an online learning program, will welcome students for the start of its inaugural school year on Wednesday, August 19.
