When it comes to social media, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter are the big three. An Actors Support System Matters
If you want to become an actor, keep in mind that getting started can also take a huge emotional toll. Actors are faced with a lot of rejection. Sometimes, it might feel like there will be no end to the struggle.
Fortunately, most actors arent in this situation alone.
Ill say this: the secret weapon to most people’s success is the financial and emotional support of their parents or other family members. These are who you turn to for support when you had a bad audition or got turned down for a part.
One caveat: never assume that your family and friends will have the same passion as you do for your acting success. They wont truly understand your hardships unless they had tried to get into the industry themselves.
Yet that shouldnt keep you from speaking to them. Sometimes it just feels good to vent your frustrations out loud to someone.

The Impact You Make By Lending Your Voice To Projects Around The World
Even small voice over projects can make a big splash. Every client you work for, whether its an international powerhouse or a local small business, is made better by the voice over you provide. It can be extremely fulfilling to witness what success is achieved with your help. Voice actors have expressed this fulfillment time and time again, and its often paired with another benefit of being a voice actor: continuous learning.
Voice actors commit themselves to understanding the content in a script so they can speak about it from an informed place. Many voice actors love how their career opens the doors to learn about aspects of all kinds of industries they would otherwise never come into contact with. For instance, voicing an elearning module about mechanical presses in the morning, and recording voice over for an online recipe video in the afternoon.

What If You Don’t Have The Skills Or Time
One of the toughest situations that teenagers can go through is that they are not getting the results they want on their ACT, SAT, or other standardized tests. You may be frustrated because you cannot find jobs or internships.
Since you are a teenager, you should not have the time or skills to get a job or intern in your field.
To address this issue, you should look for internships in an area of your interest.
Many internships take place in Washington D.C., New York, or Los Angeles, so research those locations.
Internships are great ways to learn more about your interests and how the entertainment industry works. If you are interested in the music industry, you can intern at an agency or music publishing company.
If you are interested in being a journalist, you can intern at a TV station.
If you need extra money, apply for work at retail stores in these areas.
You do not need a full-time job right now, so applying for internships is your best option. If you do not get an internship, do not fret, as you have many other things to consider.

Dont Quit Your Day Job Unless You Can
One of the benefits of starting acting later in life may be that you have been able to achieve some financial stability in your previous career.
Bridgman still lives in Ohio. When necessary, he can fly to Los Angeles for an acting gig.
When he talks with younger peers, he said a lot of them change course from wanting to be an actor to becoming a camera operator, producer or writer because working for next to nothing and supplementing your income with a service job isnt always sustainable.
I am simply not in the same economic condition that I was in when I was graduating from college. Which was zippo money and zippo prospects, other than law school, Bridgman said.
White also isnt financially dependent on landing acting gigs. But if youre not financially secure, dont throw away your safety net, Sturges said.
Ive had people say to me, Im all in. I quit my job, and Im going to live in my car, she said.
Instead of quitting your day job, talk with your employer about your new pursuit and see if theres the possibility of a flexible schedule, she said.
People are often so supportive, she said. The people who arent supportive are usually people who havent followed their dreams. A person following their dreams is a threat to those who havent.

A 20 Year Old Cant Play A 50 Year Olds Part
And so you obviously need to be the age of the characters that are playing those older roles. So yes, if youre 50 years old, and you want to get into the business, theyre hoping to hire a 50 year old for a 50 year old part.
So you would be in the running in terms of your age, but there are two factors, I think one that goes against you and then one that works for you.
The one that goes against you is that there are other people here who are 50, who were here when they were 40. And they were making those connections and those contacts and they were building those relationships and doing smaller projects and bigger projects and then getting a name for themselves and becoming recognizable.
So that when they need a 50 year old, they can hire a great actor that they already know exists. All those younger actors who are now older, are all looking for those 50 year old roles. So theres a lot of competition, obviously, by well trained actors in their field.
Finally Be Patient And Consistent
Honestly, the above six points are enough for you to get yourself onto the path of how to become an actor with no experience, and change that state as soon as possible. If you follow my advice above, youll be ahead of the game within a year. Most actors stop pursuing this career by then.
If you seriously dedicate yourself to finding any type of experience, marketing yourself, building your site and network, and getting comfortable with rejection, this will probably take you a year or two. Yes, its a long time, but remember that becoming an actor isnt a sprint its a marathon. Enjoy the process, and look far into the future.
The important part is to always keep in your head that you finally have or soon will have a strong grasp of how the show business works, what acting industry is all about, and that youre absolutely serious that you love doing this. Youll feel like youre building a foundation, developing acting-related habits and getting reading for a major step.
So be patient. Its very important, because you will not and I repeat, you will NOT see any results in the beginning. Learning how to become an actor with no experience isnt impossible, but it takes effort. Its also going to be a lot of investment in terms of time, hard work and even money with no reward for a while.
But stick with it, and with time, youll see how gradually the results from the work youve done before will start dripping down, and youll go ooooh, I get it now!

Learn to write screenplays
Opening a door to the future
Most wannabe screenwriters follow the traditional route of coffee-bringing assistant through extras-handler to take care of that little scene while Im gone. While it has worked for some, it has also led to repetition of bad habits and generally slowed down the process of becoming who you truly want to become. I believe there is a much better way to learn.
