Carpentry/Construction Teacher School Year/9 Month
FT secondary teaching position beginning Fall 2022. Minimum of four years verifiable industry experience required.
Responsible for supporting student success by creating an optimum learning environment, responding to student needs, managing effective instructional activities, developing curriculum courses, modeling employability skills, demonstrating professionalism, developing cooperative work relationships with other faculty and staff, and maintaining competency in their instructional field.
Preference will be given to those who possess related industry certifications. Pennsylvania teacher certification a plus or college courses leading to certification will be required. Greater Altoona Tech is a public college located in Altoona, Pennsylvania. It is a small institution with an enrollment of 229 undergraduate students. The Altoona Area Vocational-Technical School was founded in 1966 by agreement between the Altoona Area School District and the Bellwood-Antis School District.
